Well, some weekends turn out to be more eventful than others and this past weekend was a good one! We had lots to enter into Ella's baby book. Saturday we all went to Grammy B's to visit. Mommy and Ella were playing chase around the kitchen and Ella was in her lovely pink princess slippers (thanks to Great Aunt Madeline for the slippers). Unfortunately the slippers have little traction so Ella took a nose dive on the hardwood floor and ended up banging her forehead and nose. The first bloody nose almost made mommy and daddy cry and still ended up in the baby book!
Ella loves to read books so later in the day Mommy and Ella were in her bedroom pulling all of the books out of the bookcase and occassionally reading a few when Ella turned to me and said "Poopy". Ella has been really good about using the potty at night before bed but usually when she says poopy during the day it amounts to little more than a sit on the throne. I asked her if she needed to go potty and she shook her head yes and headed for the bathroom (All on her own!!!!). This was the first time she told me she had to poopy and really did something on the potty!! This of course, also went in the baby book. She seems to be getting the knack of the potty really quickly. She had to go potty this morning but all she did was toot when she got there. Still a good sign though! I'm thinking this potty thing is going to go alot easier than I had initally thought. WooHoo!!
Sunday was my day to go Christmas shopping and boy did I get some shopping done. Mom and I hit the mall at 12:30pm and I didn't head for home until 4:30pm. I was so excited - I was able to get the majority of my shopping done in one day. Daddy on the other hand, had a little less productive day looking after the little girl. Her naps were all out of whack on the weekend so she was a bit cranky. A girl has GOT to get her beauty sleep!!
Can't wait for next weekend!! The Christmas parade and a Holiday Potluck & Baby Reunion all in one weekend. We are sure to throw off the napping schedule then! And to think it is only going to get crazier once December gets here.

Remembrance Day
So after going to the Remembrance Day ceremonies at the cenotaph we rushed home to see Ella on tv. The documentary "The Life Changers" was on ASN at 12:30pm. The show was about the UNB Biomedical Engineering Clinic where Ella gets her prosthetic arms made. We taped the show on a vhs tape and are going to have it transferred to dvd so we can share it with everyone.
